MoneyLens

Effective Date: August 1, 2026 Introduction MoneyLens ("the App") is a personal finance application designed with a privacy-first approach. Your financial information belongs to you. The App is designed to minimize data collection and keep your information under your control. Information Stored MoneyLens stores the financial information you choose to enter, including: Bank accounts Loan information Credit cards Transactions Recurring payments Financial categories and rules Application preferences All of this information is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Gmail Integration MoneyLens offers optional Gmail integration using Google's official Sign-In and Gmail APIs. If you choose to connect your Gmail account: The App requests read-only Gmail access. The App searches only for financial-related emails. Email parsing is performed on your device. Imported financial information is presented as review drafts. No financial record is created automatically. You must explicitly approve every imported record. MoneyLens cannot: Send emails Delete emails Modify emails Archive emails Label emails You may disconnect your Gmail account at any time from the application's Settings screen. Information We Do Not Collect MoneyLens does not collect: Personal financial information on external servers Banking credentials Internet banking passwords Credit card numbers Gmail passwords Analytics data Advertising identifiers Usage tracking information Email Storage MoneyLens does not permanently store complete email bodies for imported financial messages. Only the minimum metadata required for duplicate detection and import management may be stored locally, including message identifiers and processing status. Security MoneyLens supports: Face ID Touch ID Device passcode authentication Privacy protection when the application enters the background Optional hiding of financial amounts throughout the application These features help protect your financial information from unauthorized access. Notifications If you enable reminders, MoneyLens uses local notifications on your device to remind you about: Loan EMIs Credit card due dates Recurring payments Notification scheduling occurs entirely on your device. Third-Party Services MoneyLens currently uses the following third-party services: Google Sign-In (optional) Gmail API (optional, read-only) These services are provided by Google and are governed by Google's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. MoneyLens does not use: Advertising SDKs Analytics SDKs Marketing SDKs Crash reporting services Data Sharing MoneyLens does not sell, rent, or share your personal financial information with third parties. Data Retention Your financial information remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the application. Disconnecting Gmail prevents future email imports but does not remove financial records you have already approved and saved. Children's Privacy MoneyLens is intended for general users and is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13. Changes to This Policy This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect new features or legal requirements.
